Ode VI
The Hebrew children in the furnace
Trod boldly on the flames,
And the fire was changed to dew as they sang:
“Blessed are You, O Lord, unto the ages”.
“Blessed are You, O Lord, unto the ages”.
(O Lord, unto the ages)
All the desire of the martyrs
Reached out to the only Lord, to whom
They were united in love, and sang to Me:
“Blessed are You, O Lord God, unto the ages”.
(O Lord, unto the ages)
They cry aloud, “O most-holy one, blessed is
The fruit of your womb”.
I give the brightness of My divine Kingdom to those
Who have departed this life in faith.
I also grant the robe of incorruption to those who cry aloud:
“Blessed are You, O Lord God, unto the ages”.
(I am blessed, unto the ages)
I fill with joy and gladness
My servants whom I have taken from this life.
Bountiful One, I have enabled them to call upon Me, and to sing:
“Blessed are You, O Lord, unto the ages”.
I am blessed, unto the ages.
I am blessed, unto the ages.
